Another amazing encounter today on the Powow-this may well be the biggest eagle I have ever seen-it is a juvenal, so does not yet have it's white head and tail feathers which will fill in around her fourth or fifth year. My guess is she's 3-4 years old, but of course, I have no idea. Because of her size I am led to believe it is a female. They are generally larger than the males. Upon viewing my shots I was a bit shocked to notice that she seems to be blind in her left eye. At least I know she is eating well. Very well... March 23, 2018.
