  • May 1, 2023.This is a Blanding's Turtle, they are on the New Hampshire State Endangered List with a Critically Imperiled Status. This particular turtle was brought to NH Turtle Rescue last week with wounds and scars most likely from a dog encounter. He was found injured by a family who brought him to help. He has since been cleaned up and fed well, and today in the rain he was released back into the wetlands from where he came. Great job to everyone involved in the rescue, re-hab, and release!
